    How to generate API Key for Webconnector?

    Dilyana Suleymanova

      Hi there,

      I want to understand how to generate the API KEY for WC? Are there any tutorials with instruction step by step?

      I found a nice link How can I pass request headers with jQuery's getJSON() method? - Stack Overflow

      Nevertheless I cannot found all answers I need.

      All what I understand is tha I create an API Key in JSON with this command:

      function setHeader(xhr) {
        xhr.setRequestHeader('Authorization', 'Basic faskd52352rwfsdfs');
        xhr.setRequestHeader('X-PartnerKey', '3252352-sdgds-sdgd-dsgs-sgs332fs3f');

      }

      What I don't understand is how I generate this number: 3252352-sdgds-sdgd-dsgs-sgs332fs3f

      Could you please guys explain. Thank you in advance!

          I don't think the WDC requires you to set a header like this. I'm guessing you're requesting data from an external source via a GET request and you need to set a header on that. The X-PartnerKey is going to be part of the authorization on the external service - whatever service or app you're connecting to needs to provide it.
