TreeMap turns all black when plugged into external monitor

Hiya, I'm a new user so apologies if I use incorrect terms.

I've made a TreeMap, and it looks fine on my laptop, but when I plug my external monitor, the map turns all black, with no borders between the rectangles. What's weird is that those little data tags still pop up when my mouse rolls over where the rectangles used to be.

Here's the TreeMap before plugging in an external monitor (the screencap didn't get the mouse, but it's hovering over the highlighted box):

Here's after the monitor is plugged in, with the mouse in the same place:

      • I'm on a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014), running OSX 10.12 (Sierra)
      • I'm using Tableau 10.3
      • The monitor is being connected via Thunderbolt (to DisplayPort).
      • The glitch happens whether the screens are mirrored or adjacent.
      • Everything else looks and works perfectly fine when the monitor is plugged in.

Any ideas?? Thanks ahead of time for your help!
