# Calculate the count of each answer in a columns.

Hi,

I am working on a viz  to show the count of each type of answer in the measure "QLivingArrangements-1".

I tried to create a calculated field, but each calculated field only can show one count of one answer type. Is there any way that I  can get all the counts of each answer type without changing the data source format, and I can plot them on the graph by "School" and "Level Grade"?

Thanks,

Best,

Iris

Are you looking for this? What is meant by Answer type and what is the output you need finally. Can you clarify a bit?

May be this. You need to clarify.

Thanks

Hi,

So in the measure of "QLivingArrangements-1" , There are answer for 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8. I want to count the answer of each number. Like how many “1” in this measure, how many “2” in this measure.

Thanks.

Best,

Iris

what is 1, 2,3, 4, 5, 6, 7 ..is it Level Grade?

No it is the answer categories in the "QLivingArrangements-1". And I want to count the number of each answer type, and then plot the count as a bar graph divided by “grade” and ”school”. Thanks so much for your patience!

Pl check sheet 3 and 4 in attached. You can modify as per your need. You can use Filters for Level and School to make it Readable.

Thanks

I just realized that what I want is simply put the "QLivingArrangements-1" in the column and the “CNT(Number of Response)” at the row...… But you definitely inspired me of some cool ideas. Thanks!
