Hiding a column without affecting corresponding columns

    Magesh Ramasamy

      Hi all,

I have two sheets with two fields from two different tables of the same data source. Both sheets have a column that is a calculated field (using different logic), with the other column being a common one. I would like to combine these two sheets in a dashboard, with the common column in both sheets appearing only once. I do not want to join or blend the data, because when I drop the both fields in color in the marks card, Tableau combines them and creates one color instead of keeping the coloring for the two fields separate.

I want to hide Null, A, and B in either Sheet X or Sheet Y, but still have three rows so I can make them appear closer in a dashboard.

      I appreciate your help.

      Thanks,

      Magesh.
