    Add Worksheet Filter Without Field

    John Weinshel

At the end of chapter 5 of Joshua N. Milligan's 'Learning Tableau 10', in the section on data densification, he writes he 'added a First()==0 filter'. This filter restricts the view to the first row-- necessary because the rows are identical-- but I cannot figure out how to add a filter that is not based on any field or table calculation. I cannot post the copyrighted file, but here's a screenshot of the filter. There is no field named '[First()==0]'; it must be an expression, but where is is instantiated?
