I have the same problem, I want to use our corporate fonts ont Tableau Server.
I have the fonts in all fortmats (TTF, WOFF, WOFF2,SVG,...).
Is there a way to make our corporate fonts websafe?
For a font to be web-safe, it has to come pre-installed by the operating system (Windows/OSx/Linux) or the browser (IE/Firefox/Chrome), which makes it impossible for custom fonts to be web-safe unfortunately. If the consumers of your dashboards are employees, perhaps your IT team could push the font packages to all of their computers, which would make them available for all employees to see. For consumers who don't have computers managed by your IT team, you'd need to ask them to install the fonts locally.
I found this resource on websafe fonts that are available, it includes an approximation of what percent of Windows/MAC OSx users will have each font installed:
Thank you for your quick reply.
I let websafe fonts down.
We use Helvetica 55 Roman and Helvetica 75 bold, and they are installed on our company's PCs.
The problem remains, I have installed these fonts on the server, and dashboard/sheets titles appear in serif instead of helvetica.
Even with the render=false option.
Do you have an idea?
Are the fonts also installed on the Tableau Server computer (any computer in the cluster running vizqlserver)? Some elements are always server-rendered. If the fonts are installed on Tableau Server, and the client machines, and you are not seeing it render correctly, please open a case for Tableau Support to investigate further.
I will open a case.
Evrything is apparently in place.
Thnks for your advice.
