# How do I add the percent of a single cell to the value of a new column?

Hi,

I have a simple table showing a total and percent of items per state:

I would like to be able to create a calculated field (Percent-2) adding Percent-1 plus the percentage of "(Missing)", which is 9%. So for New York the new field should read, 54%, for NJ 19%, and so forth. Also, Percent-2 should exclude the value for the cell (Missing) so that I don't get a value of 18%.

The total is 582. I have tried different approaches to this problem and nothing seems to work. Can someone please help me with this problem?

Thanks,

Francisco

Looks Like Percent-1 is aggregated already,so try this:

IF ATTR( [State])<>"Missing" THEN  ([percent-1]+0.09) Else  [percent-1] END

The above should work for [Percent-2]

Thanks. This works partially because it is not a dynamic fix. In other words if the value of "Missing" gets updated in the data source, then I would like to have the calculated field to automatically update the value in Percent-2.  Also, I would like to omit the value for "(Missing)" in Percent-2 since its value has already being added to the other state items.

Please attach a workbook and expected results.

Hi,

Attached is the workbook.

These are my expected results. I only included the 3 first values:
