1. Re: Displaying zero/no data column
Chris Geatch Jul 31, 2017 7:43 AM (in response to Garima Vohra)Hello,
It might be as simple as going to Analysis -> Table Layout -> Show Empty Rows (and/or Show Empty Columns). That will show blank values instead of removing the category for which there's no data. If you want to draw charts, I think it's a bit more involved. You can either come back and ask, or have a look at data densification, which someone has linked to here.

Garima Vohra Jul 31, 2017 8:13 AM (in response to Chris Geatch)Hi Chris,
Thanks for replying. The options you suggested I tried. What I am looking to do is show a dialogue/message to the end user that there is no data in the category they picked. It's for the end user, how can I represent to them the message that there is no data.
Thanks,
Garima

3. Re: Displaying zero/no data column
Deepak Rai Jul 31, 2017 8:23 AM (in response to Garima Vohra)create a calculated field INDEX(). Drag it to details. Now format your measure and you will see show blanks as. Write N/A . It would show empty spaces with N/A.

Garima Vohra Jul 31, 2017 10:22 AM (in response to Deepak Rai)Hi Deepak,
Thanks for the response. I created the Calculated field and dragged it to the Details, after this step, I am messing up something and it is not working. Can you tell me which option do I go to, to format and where should I exactly see dot (.) Screen shots if possible.
Thanks,
Garima

Deepak Rai Jul 31, 2017 10:24 AM (in response to Garima Vohra)Can you attach a workbook with mock data? It is difficult to check what's going on without that.
