Using "degrees minutes seconds" coordinates to create a map

    Jaco de Wet

      Good day,

I have a store library of over 2 500 stores that which i need to plot on a map in order to use the store specific data to analyse regional specific trends. The problem is that all of the geographical data i have received is now in degrees, minutes and seconds format rather than decimal degrees. I really do not have the best of Tableau knowledge, but with what i do know is that i need the data in the latter to be able to work.

I have spend some time on my friend google to see if i can find a way to convert this on excel, but thus far i have failed there too. I have also looked at previous solutions for Tableau, like

Converting Degrees/Minutes/Seconds Coordinates to Decimal Degrees | Tableau Software

I am however stumped, and something tells me i am missing the solution that is right in front of me.
