Are you just trying to configure multiple different Tableau Bridge clients to the same Online site, or are you wanting to refresh the same data source from multiple machines? It is possible to set up multiple machines to refresh data sources via Tableau Bridge, but each data source can only be refreshed from a single machine at any given time.
I would recommend setting up one client machine to run live connections and another machine to run extracts (if applicable). You can find more information on the following guide: Change the Tableau Bridge Application Settings or Computer in the "Designate a different Bridge client to support live connections" section.
Thanks very much for suggesting. Though I am able to register multiple tableau bridge client, tableau will allow only one active bridge client at anytime. My expectations is that I am looking to select multiple tableau bridge client at a times and each client will have set of live connections associated with. Its kind of load balancing where you split the total available connection between two bridge clients.
Sivasankar Muthusamy only one live query bridge client can be run per site. You can set up multiple bridge clients for extract refreshes, but they must be run on separate machines.
Our recommendation is to split up your refreshes into one VM for live queries and one VM for extract refreshes, however it is not currently possible to have multiple clients for live queries.
Thanks very much for the response. Does tableau has any road map to bring the support of multiple clients for live queries on a single tableau site ?
I can see from your saying that we can set up multiple bridge clients to refresh a single extract, can you provide details about it?
