You may have to do a custom SQL and Union your data points together. Create a column with your union, on your end points, have one text, then on the casino's mark 'Casino', ex.
select lat,long,name,'End' as EndPoint
select lat,long, name,'Casion' as EndPoint
Then join to the casinos file, so you have the lat and long columns for your distance calc.
Please find my approach created in v10.3
Create a calculation that contains names of casinos.
Now duplicate AVG(Latitude) on the rows.
Remove Casino name from detail and select the mark type as shape.
Now place the above calculation on Shape and assign shape of your choice.
Combine the using dual axis.
I've assigned shape to only one casino, you can take further from this point.
Hope this helps.

Thanks guys I can change the shape easily on all the points but I want the selected casino showing as a different shape to all the other casinos within the set range distance from that one. The guide I followed is here:
But I can't get that point showing as it does on the example in the link.
Actually hold that, I managed to get it working now. I just had to add another instance of the casino identifier to the marks and change the icon type.
I know this filter only works for straight line distance but would be even better if it could be based on road distance.
Another question I have is can I get a table of those points identified from the filter to auto-populate once the filter radius has been set? I could then have that table show alongside the map in a useful dashboard.
Thanks Tushar that worked great,
Now to get even more advanced if I set the radius filter to 100 miles can I get a dynamic title for the table which says "list of casinos within 100 miles" which will then change automatically when I change the filter?
I've just realised that I have 2 filters on the dashboard. Ideally what I need is one global filter which will change both the map points and table list when I adjust the radius filter. Is that would you did in your example above? If so how do I achieve that cool feature?
Thanks Tushar, I also wanted to add a single filter which when adjusted it changes the range of points displayed on the map AND also changes the number of casinos listed in the table. At the moment I have to use the distance for both the map and table separately in the dashboard so both have the same filter setting. I've tried a few globak filter options but couldn't get it working.
Is this something than can be done?
