    Leonardo Santos

Where I can find a Tableau sample for a Brazil heat map?

      Thank you in advance.

          Hi Leonardo,

Not sure I totally get the question...but hows this?

I just scrapped the population data by Brazilian State from Wikipedia....and Tableau did the mapping (it has many built in geographies, or you can just load a shapefile into Tableau)

          Hope that helps.

Looks great. That can be useful I'd like to have a product availability for a Supermarket chain to monitor stock inventory.

            Thank you very much.

Glad it helped...that is very much my line of work too!

So if you have a field for the geography (state in my example) then Tableau will generate a long and lat field to use (I'm not familiar enough with Brazil and Tableau to know what levels they have built in....but are adding more geographies with every release). Alternatively, you can have the Long and Lat fields in your data (say for Store/Depot locations) and then use these fields to map the data), or you can use a shapefile (if the geography you want isn't in Tableau.
