IMO I would bump up the timeout configuration on Tableau Server until this is resolved (KB article: Error “Extract failed to complete in 7200 seconds” | Tableau Software
Second I would look at the database logs to capture the query and then ask your DBA to run a trace on it. Your database logs should have the capability to capture that information.

I would check the dataengine logs to see what Tableau captured.
Thanks! We do not want to bump up the timeout configuration because this typically runs in 88-104 seconds and today was 8104 seconds. So we are going to see what happens tomorrow – we suspect it may be related to one of the stored procedures.
If it occurs tomorrow we may take your advice on the trace. I really didn’t see anything in the logs that wasn’t in the “background tasks for extracts”.
