I have a Dashboard that displays different type of metrics (Sales, HR, Parts, etc.)
This is a simple dashboard with two tables and one bar chart. The idea is that when you select any of the metrics (arrows) the bar chart (bottom left) shows the trend.
The problem that I have is that when nothing is selected the bar chart shows ALL metrics together and that does not make sense.
So, I would try to do is show a picture when none of the metrics are selected , and in the moment that the user selects any of the metrics (an arrow) the bar chart appears with the trend.
In case that it is not possible to show a picture, I prefer when nothing is selected that the chart show completely blank.
Not sure about replacing with an image, but to get rid of the Bars when nothing is selected, change your 2 filter actions to exclude all values.
