This is proving harder than I thought (and need be....)
I am not seeing anywhere in the Repository which holds the number of user licenses on the server.
Therefore, my approach would be to hard code the total licenses into the workbook (could use a parameter) and then count the number of active users on the server, and minus this from the total License count.
To find the active users list I connected to the _users View in the repository, and filtered only for Interactor in "Licensing Role Name", and then COUNTD([Name]) for the number of Active Users
This gave me the correct answer for my environment, but you should test for yours to ensure it covers site / server admins and multiple sites correctly.
Hope this helps
thank you for your answer.
I've also checked the workgroup db and couldn't find a way to extract the number. After that I've checked the REST Api, without success.
So your suggestion with the hard coded number is the only way to go. I'll give it a try.
But still, I would be happy if there was a dynamic way to extract the number.
Michael Ziegler I have a Powershell script which can pull the Roles of all Users on your Server. It will give you a current count of all Users. It won't show you how many seats you have left however.
