    Filter by Rank with Total

    Stephen Gibbons

I need to filter a block of results by rank with the correct total for the filtered list - whilst this is simple for 'Top N' or 'Bottom N' it doesn't appear to be possible to do it for a selection that isn't top or bottom of the list e.g. 11-20 from a list of 30 rows. I have tried -

      - formula in filter (won't accept the object)

      - creating a calculated object according to the rank (cannot convert to a dimension and the total represents the entire dataset rather than the restricted selection)

      - creating a flag to represent the rows required and filtering accordingly

      - Using Index() and filtering accordingly

I just need to create a dimension-based subset on a ranked basis that is neither top nor bottom of the list with the appropriate total for the subset. Any help appreciated!

      Thanks
