      Quantitative Software Developer

      IAM is seeking a lead developer/architect capable of working on all phases of design, development, testing, and support of custom built applications.  Role will also include database architecture/administrative duties as well as Tableau administration.  Position demands solid understanding of mathematics and statistics, as well as strong communication skills.  Unique opportunity to work within a small and growing team with direct access to management and investment team and significant room for advancement.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Plan architecture and infrastructure for a financial database systems environment.  Design and support data feeds, databases, and scheduled production jobs.  Responsible for accessing and integrating disparate sources of data.
      • Support all production database systems, troubleshoot issues and optimize queries, respond to data access/availability issues
      • Create, maintain, and enforce database standards and procedures
      • Design and assist with database backup and recovery and ensure a business continuity planning solution
      • Design, develop, maintain and support application proposed and used by investment teams
      • Development and support of custom trading systems
      • Work closely with research to ensure systems are optimally designed to support all research and trading activities
      • Administer and support Tableau development and deployment
      • Work closely with investment team to proactively support their technology needs



      • MS in Computer Science is preferred
      • Expert working knowledge of one or more relevant database technologies such as SQL Server, Oracle, NoSQL, MongoDB, Hadoop, DynamoDB, Redshift, Amazon RDS
      • Data warehouse/large scale data integration experience
      • Experience with BI data governance and administration
      • Expert knowledge of R is critical, Python and/or MATLAB is a plus
      • Strong experience developing Tableau solutions including administration of Tableau Server
      • Experience designing and developing dashboards using Tableau including Desktop, Server, and web variants, using best practices and industry standards
      • Hands-on experience building modern web applications, with experience deploying to public or private clouds such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, OpenStack, Rackspace or similar providers
      • Outstanding ability in mathematics, statistics, and analytics
      • Experience with C#, C++, and/or Java is a plus
      • Knowledge of Bloomberg and/or FactSet is a plus
      • Experience working within the financial services industry
