Worked for me. Check syntax? Might have an extra parenthesis hanging out somewhere?

The DateParse "function is available for non-legacy Excel and text file connections, Google Sheets, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Tableau extracts." I learned this the hard way when I deleted my extract and some of my calculations immediately broke
Does this mean it won't work for a SQL direct connection?
irrespective, you can achieve your results without it:
IF INT(RIGHT([Select Year End Date],4)) = YEAR([First Satisfied Date])
AND [First Satisfied Date] <= DATEADD('month', 1, DATE("01"+"/"+LEFT([Select Year End Date],3)+"/"+RIGHT([Select Year End Date],4)))-1
THEN [Contract ID]
should still work
