Hi Andree - just to make sure, are user folders mapped to some network drive, or are they on a local C: drive? If remote, this is a common behavior, as Tableau queries for preferences and saved datasources upon startup. It takes a while to retrieve this when relying on a network location as opposed to reading from a local drive.
Is your "My documents" folder mapped/synced to the network? If yes, move "My tableau repository" folder to somewhere in your local C drive like c:\program files\tableau then point your Tableau Desktop to it check out this link Changing the My Tableau Repository Location | Tableau Software .
Hello, I have same issue when at work. When home and working through VPN I do not have this issue. I will ask my IT team for help.
