2. Re: Select a value and highlight the group across time.
Bryan K Mar 23, 2017 10:24 AM (in response to Norbert Maijoor)I was hoping to have all of the customer a dots connect/link up across time when only one customer a dot is selected as it does in the NYT example file.
In addition I would like to have the average always visible.
Is this possible? -

Hi Bryan,
Find attached a workbook designed by Andy Cotgreave where you will find an example where average is used

Bryan K Mar 27, 2017 6:45 AM (in response to Norbert Maijoor)1 of 1 people found this helpfulThanks Norbert,
But this one really doesnt have the same capabilities as the NYT Article. As you can see, when I select a random dot (LA Dodgers in this case), the entire LA Dodgers data set is highlighted along with the average remaining highlighted. This makes it extrememly easy to compare the LA Dodgers to the average. Additionally, the remaining dots are also still available for selection.
Thanks again for the help everyone. Would love to know if this is possible.

Bryan K Mar 29, 2017 8:33 AM (in response to Norbert Maijoor)Norbert,
We are nearly there! This is pretty close, but I was struggling updating it to my set of data (likely due to the sum of sales). Are you able to replicate this with this sample set of data?
One last question. Is it also possible to select a dot and have it function similar to the customer parameter drop down and highlight the path across time?
Thanks again. You have been very helpful thus far.
