I have the following challenge:
In a dashboard I utilize filters based on fields to let a user drill down the data. For a certain data set I need to create a dynamic sql statement, which need to be based on the user filter input.
e.g. if the user filters in a dashboard on ID = 1 then the custom sql should use the "1" in the statement.
As far as I understood, this can be done by using parameters in the custom sql.
As I want to avoid cluttering my dashboard with unneassary filters, I would like to know if I can create something that would enable me to filter my dashboard + allow me to do the custom SQL.
In an ideal world I would create a parameter and then do a parameter = filter calculation.
Any help is appreciated.
