# Count all records across X axis within Y axis values

Good morning,

I'm attempting to add a filter that counts all records within a range of values, specified by the Y axis. My Y axis has a range of 0 to 100 and I'd like to know how many records occur between 0 to 10, 10 to 20, 20 to 30, etc. Ideally, this would be a checkbox style filter.

Any help here is greatly appreciated!

Regards,

Joseph

Hi Joseph,

Is it possible to post an example packaged workbook? Without seeing it, I am thinking you could use bins for Link_CT, then create Parameters to count the number of records within each Link_CT bin.

Hi Joseph,

Find my approach as reference below and stored in attached workbook version 9.3 locate in the original thread.

Step 1: Copy value and bring to dimension

Step 2: Calculation

{fixed [DimensionA]: count([Value (copy)])}

if [COUNTER]<=10 then "0-10"

elseif [COUNTER]<=20 then "11-20"

else "21-100"

END

Thank you, Walt.

The bins were exactly what I needed to achieve the result I was looking for.
