How to trigger Excel Macro in Tableau server?

    Manoj k

We are working on a new tableau dashboard which pulls data from a Excel file (Destination file). We get information from individual daily files and we have created the Destination file with a Excel Macro that can be run to append daily data from the daily files (input files) on a daily frequency.

The question is How do we trigger the excel macro when it is placed in a Folder in Tableau server automatically without human intervention. The macro has to trigger at 9pm everyday and the destination file should be updated with the Daily data from the input files.

      Thanks

          Hi Manoj,

You can schedule a task by either creating a basic task using the Create Basic Task Wizard or by creating a task without the wizard and supplying task information in the Create Task dialog box. The procedures below describe how to create a task using either method. If you create a basic task using the Create Basic Task Wizard, most of the task properties will be set to their default values, and you choose a trigger for the task from the most commonly used triggers.

          Thanks,
