# How can I find the share of all for a limited group in a selection?

When I want to show one country's share of all contribution (total for all countries) in a selection of ten countries I use the Quick Table Calculation og Percent of Total. That’s ok, I get the correct results. BUT whenI want to show the share of all contribution for only a few countries (lets say five) in the same selection of the ten countries (all =10 countries) the result is incorrect. Then it gives me the share of the total for just these five and not the share of the total of the ten countries (which I want).  What can I do to get the correct result? I have tried to build a calculated field but cannot find a definition for "All" to use in the formula.

(Country is a dimension and Contribution is a measure).

HI Elisabeth,

Find my approach as reference below based on LOD expression stored in attached workbook version 9.3 located in the original threat.

1. Total despite filter: {fixed :sum([Sales])}

2. % of:  [Sales]/[{fixed :sum([Sales]])}]
