    What is the best way to structure various data source workbooks in a dashboard?

      Currently I have various workbook dashboards for various compliance monitoring areas like I have 1 workbook for travel expense monitoring, another one for reteach and consulting contracts monitoring, etc to about 8 workbooks. However, I need to created a high level "executive" dashboard in one workbook with all data sources. Do I need to created a new workbook and create this dashboard by connecting to all data sources (some are really big and are on SQL (tableau server) and some are excel spreadsheets or is there an easier method to bring all the workbooks into 1?
