Shawn Wallwork Feb 8, 2017 2:08 PM (in response to Jillian Lellis)Jullian, we are a very friendly forums. Really. Unfortunately your question (your type of question) triggers less than friendly responses. You might want to browse a few of these docs on the right side of the Forums page:
Don't let your first Tableau experience 'put you off' our forums. You are welcome here. You will be cared for here. And for the most part your questions will be answered here!
Cheers,

Jillian Lellis Feb 8, 2017 2:04 PM (in response to Sujay Paranjpe)Care to explain further? Note, the specific zip codes in one data source are not necessarily found in the other...

4. Re: mapping store locations and finances
Jillian Lellis Feb 8, 2017 2:14 PM (in response to Shawn Wallwork)I have looked all over this forum and it doesnt seem that what i want to do is possible in tableau, which is a shame because it can easily be done in mappoints (cringe) and powermaps. I have two separate sources with addresses but the zip codes are not contained in both, so blending wont work. i have tried to merge the sources but i just get a jumbled mess. Thanks for your feedback. I should have been more specific in my post to avoid the trolls.

5. Re: mapping store locations and finances
Shawn Wallwork Feb 8, 2017 2:17 PM (in response to Jillian Lellis)Jillian,
I'm going to give this one last shot. You did not provide enough info in your original question for any of us to answer. But Sujay tossed out an answer to see if it might 'stick'.
Ultimately the question you are asking isn't quite as simple as you think. Your question was: "Is there a way to map two different data sources on the same map?"
The answer is both Yes! and No!
And it depends on what you mean by 'mapping' and 'two different data sources' and 'on the same map'.
So, please read the links I provided. And please restate your question.
Cheers,
--Shawn
