It looks like Tableau plots X(Lats) & Y(Longs) coordinates which results into a point.
User can select only points. My requirement is to plot sections of pipeline using lat/longs but I want the end user to be able to select a section of pipe (line) and not points.
Another option I was exploring is '
How to Use ArcGIS Features as a Tableau Marker Layer' in the How to Use ArcGIS Data, Features and Basemaps in Tableau | ArcGIS Blog
But I am not sure even this esri approach will give an end user to select a line v/s a point on map.
How do I achieve this?
I tired plotting with some sample data, I think I am getting there.
I have question around overlaying 2 maps.
MAP 1 - line map
MAP 2 - store map
how do I overlay one on another and show both data in one MAP?
I have flexibility of merging both data sets but how can I show stores as different shapes?
