Knowledge Base Article: Error "Invalid database name value" Running Extract Refresh | Tableau Software
Tableau Community: Invalid database name value
Hope this helps!
We are having the same issue with our TDS to a Redshift instance while Live. No extracts are being utilized but some customers are seeing this exact area but upon refresh it may go away.

I was having this issue earlier today and solved it by editing the permissions for the actual data sources. When the data sources were posted the permissions for the data sources were denied for the specific user groups to view. I had to manual go to all the data sources and edit this, but it worked after.
Hope this helps.
This is a shot in the dark but try using the FQDN of the server name, e.g. don't use SQLServerABC, use SQLServerABC.yourcompany.com.
I created a unique path using our network drives and resolved that problem.
Tableau Server will access the file using the unique path and error gone.
could you please share the steps to achieve this. Even we are getting the same erro.
Do you use FTP server to share network files?
Is it a network drive created in windows?
No, we upgraded to Tableau server 10.3 and this problem has been solved so far - thanks you all!
