My task is to find a way to plot in tableau, with a line, how the correlation coefficient varies throughout a time frame split by weeks. I also have a set o parameters that lets the user to play with different variables. I tried to replicate an example in the attached workbook.
One hurdle that I have is that I can`t change the data frame in the back-end, so the solution has to somehow, come by working strictly in Tableau, without modifying the data frame.
So the result of the correlation is a number, but I want to see this number calculated, for example :
Correlation in week x, then in week y and so on ... and then have a line that unites all this points.
This sounds like you're trying to have Tableau create then plot new data which is tough to do and generally not what it's meant for. I would try contacting support and seeing if they can assist. Would you be able to plot the new data into a data source such as excel?
