# Need a table calculation - I think?

I've been task with doing a bit of forecasting.  I have data from our peak season (5 months) last year, and I have an idea what one of my major customers is going to purchase in total units over that peak season this year.  I've figured out the percentages and calculations to roughly forecast the numbers balanced across the 5 month time frame.  What I would like to do is to be able to add a parameter that sets the time frame that the order/units will need to be processed in to see if our system can handle it, if say the customer decided they needed it within 3 months instead of 5.  I would like to have the calculations start on the first month and based on the time frame parm only spread across that number of months.  For example, if it is set to 3 the forecasting would only calculate across the 1st 3 month and leave the other 2 alone.  I hope this makes sense.  I'm not sure if this can be done, but I'm hoping someone can help me out with it.

I figured out most of what I was looking for needed to use index().  Now I can't get the Grand Total to sum up properly on the "forecasted" fields - any help would be greatly appreciated.  Sheet 8 is the latest iteration of my work.

HI Jamie,

Have you seen this article? I think the solution might help you:

I have read this article, but I haven't found a good work around as of yet.  Thanks for thinking of me!!

Jamie,

Can you perhaps provide a mockup (e.g. in Excel) of what you expect to see? I'm not sure that I completely follow your requirements, and when I look at the last sheet you attached, all the rows seem to be SUM-ing as expected. So I'm not clear on what you want to have happen vs. what is actually happening. Thanks.

Not a good way for sure, but only focus on the final view.

Calculate G.Total in different sheet and merge on Dashboard....

Thanks,

Shin
