does anybody know how Tableau works with Joins if there are on the one hand really huge amounts of Data involved and on the other just a few?
For example we have a csv File with 10 000 rows of data and want to Join this with an Amazon Redshift Project having 1 milion rows of data (using column ID).
How will Tableau try to solve this? How can be ensured that at least the 10 000 rows from csv be enriched with the corresponding data from Amazon Redshift (Left Outer Join)?
Thanks in advance for the Reply.
The volume of the data shouldn't impact the join. Tableau will successfully join two 10 row files in the same way it joins to 1m row files. Granted, it may optimize them differently but it won't functionally treat them differently.
