# Creating a new line in a Dimension

Hey folks,

I am new on using Tableau and there is something that my boss ordered me and I do not know how to do it. I know how to solve in the excel file itself, but I would like to learn how to do it through/using Tableau.

The problem:

I have an excel file where I have three columns: Project, Client and Value. The client dimension has 6 possible values (a,b,c,d,e, OT) whereas the letters "a" to "e" represent the mainly clients of the company, and the "OT" represents the total value of sellings.

What I need is to make a simple table like the one that I send it below. That is, I need to make a simple table where I have Clients (a,b,c,d,e,Others, OT) and the values of each one (Others is calculated as "Sum of value of OT" - "Sum of the clients a to e").

 Client Value a 3650132 b 1828894 c 4684422 d 5543842 e 7582114 OT 90286049 Others (OT - a - b - c - d -e) 66996645

Does anyone could help me please? I am also sending an excel file with some invented values in case it helps. Thank you in advance.

Do you mean just reproducing an excel-like table, like the attached?

So... I finally checked the file that you attached to me Berret. And no, that is not what I wanted to do. Actually I would like to build another kind of table, that looks like more with:

 Client Value a 3650132 b 1828894 c 4684422 d 5543842 e 7582114 OT 90286049 Others (OT - a - b - c - d -e) 66996645

In this other table, a would give the sum of all the projects sold to the client "a". And the same for the clients "b", "c", "d", "e" and "OT". Besides, there would another line "Others" (which does not exist in the file in excel) that would be equal to Sum of "OT" projects less the sum of the projects of all the other clients...
