Hi Nagappan Nachiappan,
Thanks for the question… I’d love to get a little bit more detail about what you are trying to do, to understand your request. It sounds like you have some hierarchical field, like Year > QTR > Month with 2 or more views which include this field, and when you hit the “+” to drill down one of the views you want the other view(s) to also expand?
Is that right? Or do you mind clarifying a little more what specifically you’re working with?

Thanks for your response. Good to see a person helping us directly from Tableau.
Yes exactly you got / understood our requirement. I want a common drill down option. I have two set of metrics and created two different worksheets with that metrics. In both sheets I have a Year > Month > Day hierarchical field. While combining both sheets in a single dashboard (aligning them in horizontal way) I need to show a common hierarchical field.
Is it possible in tableau?
Thanks for the clarifying the goal here. I'm sorry, it's not natively supported in Tableau today. There are a few ways to accomplish a similar task: (1) Put both metrics on the same worksheet, like with a blend, or (2) use a filter across the data sources to filter (but unfortunately not drill) both sheets. Sorry we don't have a better answer yet.
Just to add to Amy's response, you can have a parameter that selects what level of hierarchy you want to display.
You can then have separate sheets to display each hierarchical visualization, and then do sheet swapping based on the value of the parameter. You can to this simultaneously in both sets of sheets.
If you don't mind maintaining separate sheets like this, it's an easy thing to implement. If you want to pursue that, I can help.
Ummm... I just thought of something else.
I've seen the DATETRUNC function used to implement this sort of thing.
DATTETRUNC truncates your date field to the lowest value within the time period you specify.
