We had a request to produce a line-and-circle chart for which the size of the circles and thickness of the lines could be adjusted independently.
I was able to piece this together from a discussion thread (https://community.tableau.com/message/138803) and a Tableau knowledge base video (http://kb.tableau.com/articles/howto/creating-combo-chart-that-shows-more-than-two-measures). However, I wanted step-by-step instructions, and had had problems
reproducing things, so I made a workbook whose sheets illustrate these steps. It uses the Global Superstore 2016 data source. The only flaw is that one of the early steps, duplicating a measure, shows up in the sheets before it is supposed to be done, because the sheets reflect later changes.
I'd appreciate people looking at this, and deciding it it's helpful.
This is great and very clear. If I have any suggestions, they would be to add annotations for any parts that may be tricky or to use story points to guide the users through the steps on one screen.
Thanks for sharing!
