I have a view in SQL server A that I need to join onto a table in SQL server B. This will require a join on multiple columns. The first is just an account number, and is a straight 1:1 match in each table. However, I also need to join a single date column from the view in server A onto a range of dates spread across two columns in the server B table. Does anyone know if this is possible to do in Tableau join functionality? The SQL servers are not linked, so I was hoping to avoid using the Custom SQL option. Thanks.
What version of Tableau are you using? In 10 this should be possible. Especially in the next update with custom joins: Coming Soon
Also, if no one answers your question soon, perhaps show a picture showing what the expected behavior for the join would be with some dummy data?
