    Need help adding goals

      I can't seem to get my goals to add up properly in Tableau.  I'm not sure I've brought over the data correctly or what I'm doing wrong.  The excel spreadsheet I added in tableau has one sheet that contains all of our hiring from 2016 to present and then there is another spreadsheet that contains our hiring goals by month for each of or business areas (minus grand totals).  When I added this spreadsheet to Tableau and joined the two tables my goals are nearly tripled.  3 days working on this and I'm at my wits ends.    I've changed the join type, I've added and removed columns to help with the join...  I'm sure there is a simple fix but I'm not having any luck. 


      I've attached something similar to what I've added to tableau.
