Force a view to be empty - Tableau Online

    Alex Bitz

      Hey there,

I have a dashboard/view containing exactly 1 worksheet within my Tableau Online instance. What I would like to do is to subscribe users to this view and have a snapshot of the view email to them on scheduled basis when the view is not empty. Easy enough and this an existing feature in Tableau Online, I know. But, what I don't know is what is defined as an "empty view"? Does that mean no data returned in the data source for my worksheet? If not, how do I force a view to be empty if my data source is empty (i.e., no rows return in my single worksheet)? I don't want a subscription to fire off if my worksheet has no data returned.

      Thanks,

      Alex
