Try adding all the fields into one sheet. This is done by a Union.
Here is a helpful link: Combine your data with Union in Tableau 9.3 | Tableau Software
Is this a potential solution to your problem, or am i missing something?
Thanks Matt. But unfortunately I work with 9.0. And also, the measure names are exactly the same for all the sheets. It is the same Metadata, exact replica. Just different sheets - namely different source systems in my case.
So i gotta have a selecter with these options
1. Source System USA
2. Source System CAN
3. Source System MEX
All the above are seperate work sheets.
The pie chart runs on the exact same measure values(A,B,C) in all the three cases.
If all of the seperate sheets are in one Excel file this should still work in Tableau 9.
On the Data Source tab, drag the different sheets to the window and perform the joins if necessary.
If that does not work, Data blending should be another solution: Blend Your Data
Post a twbx or a xls with fake data.
Hey Matt. I got an upgrade to Tableau 10 and performed a Union JOIN and got all the data into one sheet. It worked perfectly. Thank You.
Hi Luciano. I was able to get that by performing a Union. Thanks a lot for your help.
