Hi Syed. Is this a published TDE datasource onto server? If so, I think you can connect to it from TD and then do an extract of the subset that you need and maybe save it as a standalone TDE to be re-published. It's at least worth a try.
Thanks Jeff, Yes it is a Published extract. I have tried that but for some reason doesn’t work as I expected. When I create another extract from published extract it doesn’t show me “Publish to server” option for data source (strange enough) – when I use “Create a local copy..” option it does save it locally but then point to the actual postgres data source instead of published TDE i-e loses all historical data ☹
you may have to hack into the underlying XML. After you extract from the published datasource, then save the results locally on your desktop as a tdsx, then unzip it. Then, modify the TDS file to have the proper connection info, I don't know off hand what the proper syntax is.
