It's really hard to troubleshoot issues of these nature without much more details. I'd strongly suggest you create a ticket with Tableau Support and provide them with the necessary screenshots and log files to troubleshoot further.

There can be compatibility issues between 9.2.3 and 10.1.0.
In the meantime, could you please make sure your users also upgraded their Tableau products to 10.1.1? If they cannot upgrade yet, better check with a full investigation with our support team, indeed.

its fine but Tableau Server will not allow lower version of dashboards right?
You can use any lower version of Desktop to publish to any higher or equal version of Server. The dashboards should work fine and can still be downloaded and edited in the original version of Desktop used to publish them.
