      The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania is seeking a Data Analyst who will be responsible for discovering, accessing, and distilling processes in data analytics. Primary responsibilities include primary and secondary research, organizing, refining, and exploratory data analysis, and using analytics to generate inferences in healthcare delivery. Activities will reflect business and information needs. Process improvement and support efforts to drive efficiency from legacy systems to new system and processes.


      Under the direction of research leadership, and in collaboration with other members of the division, individual will assist in the development, maintenance and analysis of systems, developing reports and resources to be used by the organization for advocacy and member engagement.


      Candidates for consideration must have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics, healthcare administration or related field. Experience in health information systems, management information systems or other related healthcare experience preferred.  Minimum two years’ experience in data analysis, data mining, or other disciplines in data science.  Must have experience with business intelligence tool Tableau and demonstrated high level of proficiency with database management applications.  Must have analytical skills and statistical knowledge, experience and application of Adobe Creative Suite, advanced SQL, SPSS, Microsoft Excel and Access skills.  Project management skills as well as creative problem solving skills are necessary.  Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate in the English language.
