The calculated field [Date] = [SelectaDateV2] should do it as long as both are recognised as dates by Tableau.
Drag that field to the filters shelf and set to True.
It's not clear to me what you want exactly. I'll take a stab...
You want the majority of the chart to be blank except the date selected? All 7 days will be shown but all will be empty except the selected date?
It's not clear why you have 2 date filters, one allowing the user to select a large date range and another where the user has to select just one date. The first filter seems redundant.
Perhaps if you can mock up what you would expect to see when a single date is selected it will help define a solution?
I think that I was not clear enough, but let me try again and sorry that I can't share the file (there is an agreement with the customer).
My goal is:
1-Show by day of the week and by hour the AVG and STDEV for Sessions in a website. The user select a range of dates to see what is going when.
THIS IS DONE! TKS!
2 - Highlight a specific date in the same chart. The user may select a specific date in the Parameter and that line date would be shown.
THIS I COULDN'T DO IT.
( I tried to change size, colors only to show that specific date and so far nothing)
Thanks for all help here.
It looks like you have done it - you've dragged the calculated field I suggested to colours, which is the right thing to do, and it has shown the day in red. What more do you expect it to do?
I just want to show the TRUE line in the middle of the bollinger band.
This is only the begging of my dashboard, I will have more steps from here.
