# How to recreate simple Excel calcuation

Can you divide one calculated field by another calculated field?  I am unable to do so (get zero result).

Average Expense (calculated field) =    471,854

Average Volume (calculated field) = 1,703,779

Cannot create a calculated field to divide Average Expense by Average Volume.  I have adjusted the number format to 3 decimals, but no result.  Does anyone have an idea of how to achieve this?  it was so simple to do in Excel.

Hi Teresa,

I believe in this scenario that all you need to do is aggregate both the left and right side of your calculation.

sum([Avg Expenses])/sum(Avg Volume])
