Merge/Join/Union multiple workbooks with multiple tabs that have same headers

I have 12 files that have 9 tabs each and each tab has about 65,000 records. Each workbook represents a month and I want to consolidate all the data (efficiently)

I am very new to Tableau and I am unsure how to join workbooks together within Tableau to view some summary information. The workbooks have multiple tabs, but all the tabs are structured exactly the same way.

I thought that using a left join would be the best option, but on Tableau Desktop it takes forever to create an extract and its impossible to actually try to build a visualization (because it take forever to execute the requested query).

Does anyone have any tips that a beginner can use to merge all these files together?
