I think the S in httpS and the port number (:443) are redundant and may be causing some issues. Where is the URL in the error message being generated from? I would try using it without the port number if possible.
Hope this helps!
I tried presto connector, https + 443, https without 443 and http + 443, all failed.
Hi , Adam
I used to face same situation on my Mac Laptop.
And I have solved it in order to install other Presto ODBC version for it.
Then if you have not still solved it, it would be better to try other ODBC version for it.
Tableau version 10.1.1 ->
I tried, still not work
- Unable to connect to the ODBC Data Source. Check that the necessary drivers are installed and that the connection properties are valid. [Teradata][Presto] (1020) Error with HTTP API at https://xxx.xxx.com:8889/v1/statement : Peer certificate cannot be authenticated with given CA certificates Unable to connect to the server "https://xxx.xxx.com". Check that the server is running and that you have access privileges to the requested database.
install this driver
I faced similar issues and was able to solve it.
Create a file named Presto.tdc and put it in a path similar to C:\Documents\My Tableau Repository\Datasources
The file content:
<?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8' ?>
<connection-customization class='presto' enabled='true' version='10.1'>
<vendor name='presto' />
<driver name='presto' />
<customization name='odbc-connect-string-extras' value='SSL=1;AllowSelfSignedServerCert=1;AllowHostNameCNMismatch=1' />
