LOD Help with Date Parameters

I have two date parameters - start date and end date.  I need to build a LOD expression for a sum that reference those parameters, and I can't seem to figure it out.  Can anyone help?

Thanks!

It's quite difficult to understand your request from given info.

Could you add sample packaged workbook? (***twbx)

Thanks,

Shin

Hi Michelle,

As shin mentioned it's quite difficult to understand what your request is. Despite;) find my attempt below and stored in attached workbook version 9.3

What i made up based on the info you provided.

a. Two parameters: Start date, End date

b. I have a dimension with a more detailed level then date Order ID, There could be more then one Order ID's with the same Start, End Date

c. I have a "summation". Column Grand Total

Curious to know where the LOD "kicks in";)

Let us know..:)

Thanks Norbert Maijoor and Shinichiro MurakamiI want to be able to show the discrete sum of sales for the period between the start and end dates the user selected.  In the attached workbook on the Trend Graph worksheet, I have a lookup that helps with a rolling 12 month calculation.  I want to be able to add the last 12 month value (so for the sub-category of accessories it would be \$41,896) in between the sub-category and Sum(sales) pill on the rows shelf.  I took a stab at this using the calculated field Sales Last 12 Month Period, but when I drop it in, it creates multiple rows.

Thanks again!

I have not investigated the root cause yet, but LOD calculation is not getting along with table calculation sometimes.

Instead, you can use windows calc.

[Sales last 12 V2]

window_sum(sum(if [Order Date]>=[Start Date] and [Order Date]<=[End Date] then [Sales] end))

Thanks,

Shin
