Can you please give an example of the date string you've got ?
Thank you for your support.
So I have at least three to four date fields in the same data set formatted as MM-DD-YYYY (12-13-2016). However, some of the values have 00-00-00 as time but only very few values. Whatever I do to convert these data set from string to date it turns to a null value.
I hope I explained it in clear way.
Then why dont you try using anf statement based on the length of the string before applying the dateparse function.
Here's an example :
IF LEN([Date])=10 THEN
I tried this calculation but it didn't work.
Can you please post a workbook with a sample data ?
I extracted the data-set then I convert it to a date. I believe it did work this time. Apparently, the issue might be from the data source itself.
So if I post it it will be extracted and you won't face the same issue.
I believe this issue will only happen when you connected to a live data
Did you check the support of your database for the dateparse function ?
What database are you using ?
It's SQL. However the guy that I deal with from IT is on a vocation. So, I guess I have to wait for him.
IF he came back soon, I'll see what I can do.
For sure I'll update you here if I solve it from the database so people can know for future references.
Marc thank you so much.
