Share based off set row total

Hello,

I am trying to have share based off the row \$ Vol total, so when I filter down to a supplier I want the \$ Shr to be based off the total \$ Vol in the past 4 weeks. If everything is unfiltered the \$ shr should say 100% until I have clicked on a filter.

I am currently using Tableau Workbook 9.0 due to my audience only has 9.0 reader. Appreciate any help.

Thanks,

Keegan

Keegan,

There isn't enough info here that will allow someone to help. I'd recommend attaching a twbx with a longer description of what you are trying to accomplish.

Corey,

See attached for example worksheet. For the third column, I want the share to based off the time period row. So if the supplier filter is filtered to "Gallo" for example, it will show their share for each respective period based off the time's Total \$ Vol.

Keegan,

I think I understood what you are going for...

I've added two columns to your table. The 4th column is an LOD expression that calculates the Total \$ Vol for each time period. The 5th column takes the \$ Vol / Total Vol.

So if you filter for a certain supplier, the 5th column shows you what percent they make up out of the entire \$ volume.

Yes, that is exactly what I wanted! The only issue I didn't think of before, is what about when I want to filter through markets. Is it possible to keep it fixed to whatever market is filtered?

Again, I appreciate the help!

Yes, in the LOD expression, Instead of {FIXED [Time] : SUM([\$ Vol])} it would be, {FIXED [Time], [Market] : SUM([\$ Vol])}

That is amazing, thank you Corey! This was a huge help!
