# Construct continuous Trend Line for separate calculated measures?

Sheet 1: I've created 5 separate calculated measure fields to show 1+, 2+, 3+, 4+ and 5+ months based on the Number of Days data field.

Sheet 2: Desired Output for Sheet 1

I want to create a trend line for the number of Distinct ID's falling in each month+ field. I've taken the output numbers and constructed Sheet 2 to show the Desired Output.

How do I make this happen for Sheet 1 based on the calculated fields and other measures only? Is there any other way I can make this happen? Thanks

Hi Amulya,

You need a calculation do slice your measure therefore you need to create a dimension. Something like

if [Days]>=150 then 5
elseif [Days]>=120 then 4
elseif [Days]>=90 then 3
elseif [Days]>=60 then 2
elseif [Days]>=30 then 1
end

Since the output is numeric Tableau will leave this calc as a measure. Move it do dimension. Clean your Column shelf and drag the new calc on it.

Best,
