# Show MAX value only once

In the line chart below I have 2 goals:

1. Show the MAX Value per line ONCE (the screenshot shows that MAX is being duplicated)

2. Create a table in the same layout as the screenshot below, but showing only the MAX value (not in a graph)

Hi Diogo! You can use this calculation to pick out only the first time the value hits the max:

IIF(RANK_UNIQUE(SUM([Total Apps])) = 1, SUM([Total Apps]), NULL)

You'll compute this along DAY(Date) so that School Code is the partitioning field.

Then for #2, you can switch to a text table and use DAY(Date) in the detail mark to get a table. You'll compute along DAY(Date) again.

Thanks for the quick response. It is exactly what I need.

You're welcome!

David Li, would it be possible to show the LAST MAX value? I started another discussion related to this one, in case you want to chime in: Show percentage of total when MAX value

• ###### 5. Re: Show MAX value only once

To show the last max value, use this calculation instead of the previous one:

IIF(MAX([Date]) = WINDOW_MAX(IIF(RANK(SUM([Total Apps])) = 1, MAX([Date]), NULL)), SUM([Total Apps]), NULL)

I'll look at your other discussion now.
